Saturday:
11 a.m.: Earplug appointment.
Yes, Miles needs custom ear plugs made if we ever intend to take him into the lake. Apparently, with tubes, dirty lake water would get in his inner ear and stuff would grow or something.
The appointment was fine and he thought it was so cool that they squirted "Play Doh" (actually a putty that dries to a molded shape) in his ear.
Noon: Easter Egg hunt at LRCA.
There were 20,000 eggs put out for kids to grab out of the grass. We went with my family and one of my friends who has a 3-year-old.

They also had the Easter Bunny there, a petting zoo, a cardboard maze and two bounce houses. The kids had a blast running around and getting their Easter Egg Fix. :)

5 p.m.: Easter Dinner
We had the traditional ham and scalloped potatoes at my mom and dad's house. My mom couldn't resist cooking a giant meal. :)
Sunday: Dustin's Birthday and Easter
6 a.m.: Egg Hunt
Miles wakes up and we search for all the goodies the Easter Bunny left. He found everything like a champ and immediately started in on the candy. Mmmmm candy breakfast!
8 a.m.: Church service.
Great service and sermon. Miles made a really cute cross that I'm sure I will hang up in our house somewhere.
9:30 a.m.: Birthday cake.
Mmmmm... cake breakfast! We sang happy birthday and enjoyed the strawberry cake that Dustin requested.

11:30 a.m.: Mexican Food
Yes, we had Mexican food on Easter Sunday. Dustin specifically requested it and Miles seconded the request. We got a coupon for $25 off from restaurant.com and thoroughly enjoyed our "beans and rice" as Miles called it.
2 p.m.: Kayak Test Drive
Dustin got a kayak for his birthday and the inagural outing was apparently, very cold. You could feel the cold of the water through the bottom of the kayak.
3 p.m.: Movie
A Drolen family tradition, we watched a movie. The King's Speech was the choice. Great movie. We highly recommend it, though neither Dustin nor I were super excited to see it at first.
6:30 p.m.: Back to Reality
Miles got dinner, a bath and we made his lunch. Put him to bed and we passed out! It was a long, good weekend, but wow... was it ever hard to wake up this morning.
