Elephant Ear

So yesterday we got a call from daycare to pick up Miles ASAP... again.

His right ear had blown up to twice its normal size and they weren't sure why. (In the picture you can't see his left ear because it normally sits under his hair. That's how big this one was!)

So we took him home, gave him some Benadryl and put hydrocortisone cream on it. We would have called his doctor, but seriously, we've had so many of these mystery illnesses that it didn't seem worth it. We already knew what he'd say, so we just did it ourselves!

Later last night I noticed a mosquito bite on his arm that had swollen to about the size of a half-dollar. And then we knew for sure. Another one of these.

This morning, it's about half the size that it was at its worst.

Why can't this kid just get the flu like a normal child? :)
