Soccer Practice

Miles had his very first soccer practice last week. He was slightly nervous to meet the new kids and extremely nervous to lose. We had to explain that this was his team and that no one would lose at practice. Who knew that Dustin's competitive streak would come out in him so early? A former student of mine told me there is nothing funnier that U6 (under age 6) soccer and he was right. There was a set of triplets on the team. One was miserable the entire time and just sat on the side for a while. There was one huge boy who dominated the whole thing. Miles picked up his ball at least 10 times and took his own water breaks whenever he felt like it. And the coach's daughter didn't seem to understand why her dad was paying attention to other kids.

Our second practice was cancelled yesterday because of the rain. His first game is still Saturday, though. This should be entertaining.
